Line- & Copy Editing

Line editing, sometimes called stylistic editing, is a line-by-line look at the flow and tone of a manuscript. Copy editing includes some proofreading items such as correcting errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage while also checking the writing for inconsistencies and fact-checking.

  • Grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Capitalization and hyphenation consistency
  • Correct word usage
  • Repeated or missing words
  • Formatting issues with font size and style
  • Consistency of layout
  • Dialogue punctuation
  • Consistency of timeline and character details
  • Confusing phrases and sentences that are repetitive or too wordy
  • Basic fact-checking (e.g., proper noun spellings and basic language translations)
  • American or British English

Pricing: $0.02 per word

Turnaround Time: 50k words per week

PROOFREADING

Proofreading is generally the final step before publishing your book. It is a final check for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage, and any formatting issues.

Pricing: $0.012 per word

Turnaround Time: 50k words per week

Editing Packages

These packages are designed  to help you get all you need to make your manuscript shine.

Starter Package

The Starter Editing Package includes:

  • 1 round of Copy Editing
  • 1 final Proofread

Pricing: $900

up to 60k words
Turnaround Time: 30k words per week

Premium Package

The Premium Editing Package includes:

  • 1 round of Line Editing
  • 1 final Proofread
  • Blurb Editing

Pricing: $1000

up to 100k words
Turnaround Time: 30k words per week

Signature Package

The Signature Editing Package includes:

  • 1 round of Line and Copy Editing (performed in tandem and delivered to you in ~20k word mini-edits)
  • 1 additional round of Copy Editing
  • 1 final Proofread
  • Blurb & Synopsis Editing

Pricing: $1500

up to 125k words
Turnaround time will be dependent on your publishing timeline and will be discussed on a book by book basis due to delivery timelines
